About me

​

I work in schools in Cheshire and Manchester, and also have my private playroom which is in Poynton, Cheshire.

 

I am a Certified Play Therapist (registered with Play Therapy UK) and a qualified primary school teacher. I have a particular interest in early childhood trauma. 

 

I am also a licensed practitioner in "Parent-Child Attachment Play" and in "Heart to Heart", which are both fun and effective attachment-based courses that support families in developing and deepening their relationships with each other. In addition, I am qualified to deliver Lego Therapy groups.

I am on the Register for Play and Creative Arts Therapists, which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

With over 15 years experience of working with children, I am committed to the growth of play therapy in the United Kingdom as I recognise that play is central to the way that children learn about themselves, their relationships, and the world. I am passionate about delivering non-directive, child-centred interventions and have experience of providing play therapy and various other interventions with children, on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, providing children with a safe space to use play to communicate and work through their feelings.
